Looking for a way to make a difference? Consider the tried and proven method we have adapted from Convoy of Hope toward helping AIDs orphans in Tanzania.
Support Local Schools - Most aids orphans are taken in by a family member, most often a family that cannot afford to take care of them. They provide housing, and some food, but schooling can be very expensive. This is where Bethel Green Outreach comes in, making school more affordable by suppling school meals and support to allow these kids to attend school. We can do that because all of our support dollars go directly into buying locally grown food and suppling it to local schools.
Empower Women through Technology-Based Relationships - For us at Bethel Green, it's all about relationships. It has been proven time and again that empowering local women with a little business training and some seed money, can change the economic future of a town. Our goal is to create a solid long-term relationship between each student and mentor and connect sponsors directly with these new enterprises. Gone is the old paradigm of an annual newsletter. Instead we will be exploring social media opportunities so that each woman knows at least one person in the world cares enough about them to invest time and money.
Sustainability through Agricultural Enterprise - Our model is to build growth in the community by creating agricultural enterprises like food processing and education that will result in improved crop yields. We want to see the local community providing not only 100% of the food needed to feed the community, but the infrastructure to process and export food to other communities. The entire operation will end up African owned and operated. Not only does this provide security for the future, it provides much needed employment for these aids orphans as they grow up. This model has been proven effective in many African countries.
Excellence - Our goal is to see each town in which we invest shine, with diverse production, schools teaching an impactful curriculum, including English, Computer Skills, Agricultural Practices, Bible and Business. We will provide a regional agricultural program as well as hands-on training to prepare our students for success in a changing world.
